Invisible Internet Zone Report November 2021

The Invisible Internet Zone ran from 1 November to 10 December 2021 and was funded by the techUK and other internet infrastructure companies.

The activity featured 32 engineers working across a broad range of fields.

The winner of the Zone was Femi Olushola, who won £500 to deliver further engagement activities.

Students

275 students from 9 schools logged into the Zone.

75% of active students were from target schools: 64% from widening participation schools and 11% from underserved schools.

Live chats

18 live chats took place. 18 were booked by teachers. Additionally, there were 2 chats scheduled, open to all students.

On average, 3 engineers attended each live chat.
